What We Do

Infant Care (6 weeks-12 months)

Babies are precious! Choosing a center that’s right for your baby -and your family- is one of the most important decisions a new parent can make.

At Scottdale, your child is cared for by an experienced staff. Our teachers work with each family to create a customized plan to meet that child’s individual developmental needs. We are able to achieve this by keeping our teacher to child ratios low (1:4.) We guarantee that each infant will get the specialized attention they deserve.

The infant room is outfitted with age appropriate furniture, toys and books to stimulate their curiosity and allow them the freedom to explore, play and learn. Your baby will feel safe, secured and loved at Scottdale.

Curriculum

Scottdale recognizes that learning for infants is everything the child experiences-arrival, dressing and undressing, diapering, hand washing and feeding. Through the Creative Infant curriculum we provide stimulating activities designed for individual children to maximize their language, cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. Our teachers understand that infants rely on all their senses for learning. Teachers will talk, snuggle, giggle, tickle a tummy, or sing a song as they change a diaper or feed a bottle to help infants discover the relationships between their body and the environment.
